Taking a child out from school for a month: A Major NO-NO

Learning is a continuous process. After we finish our tertiary education, off we go. We explore the world without pen and paper, chalk and blackboard, etc. Still, we constantly keep on taking such information from our workplace, from the people around us, and even from the lives we're living.

Meanwhile, at a young age, kids understand that they have to study to have a good job in the future. They have to put everything they got to be successful. Every child wants a bright future ahead of them. An absence from school is strongly prohibited. That's why PTA exists to monitor the students. A lot of kids take a no late no absent policy for granted. Little does everyone know that once they take a pause for a little while from class, resets the button for learning.

A child's span of attention is expectedly low compared to the adults. In the image below, age differs to the amount of time that a child can keep up with discussions in school or explanations given to them. As they get older, they become more interested. Explains the duration of not losing their focus.

Thus, if parents take away a single month for a family trip whatsoever, your child might lose everything to a vacation. Unless taking your child away from school has a valid reason for a learning vacation more important than getting in their class, a discussion might be raised.

Knowledge can never be taken away.

Couldn't argue with that. Regardless of one's social status, education is a pure investment linked to a person until his deathbed.

Hope this provides enlightenment to parents and guardians who are having second thoughts with the idea of travelling with their kids during school days.

Completely agree. I guess our parents did well in raising us as young learners. Not ony did we come to grow to value education but also learned the virtue of perseverance

And not a lot of parents have that kind of mindset. We're lucky enough.
