The plastic arts
Hi guys, today I am going to talk about a subject that I like very much, which are the plastic arts, then I show you a little of what this art is.
Included within the Fine Arts, the term 'plastic arts' appears at the beginning of the 19th century to refer to painting, sculpture, drawing, architecture, engraving, ceramics, goldsmithing, crafts and mural painting .
From the artistic movements that were developed during the twentieth century, the concept of plastic arts began to change. New artistic proposals such as the ready-made (art found) questioned whether it is necessary to modify a material to obtain a work of art. In the mid-twentieth century began to use the term visual arts, which includes the arts and all new media. The visual arts add other resources such as sound, video, computer science, electronics, etc., to create works or artistic proposals.
The artist is the person who is professionally dedicated to the development of this type of art. In some cases the artist uses several artistic disciplines at the same time. This happens because the artist applies his knowledge to perform his works with different materials, media, techniques and objectives.
Traditionally, art schools offer students the opportunity to work on various artistic disciplines and increase their creativity to develop their creative potential. This is possible because the plastic arts start from principles and concepts common to all artistic disciplines, such as: the elements of design, the theories of color and their psychology.
