I didn't expect that letting your child to play outside is illegal in some places because here in our country it's ok to let your child play outside and it's better than restriscting to play outside and just play on their gadgets because playing outside can help a child to learn differebt things specially socialization...
It was really sad to hear your story about free-range parenting... But it's good and I'm happy to hear/read that you let you child have the freedom to play outside...
It is sad that it has become taboo to let kids be outside unattended. It's sad how our society has evolved to support fear. It's good that people are recognizing again that children should be allowed to play outside and have some independence from parents.
