According to science wolves are more than a million years old. Wolves are excellent hunters. All dog species come from wolves. They are carnivores that developed into wolves and they come from Asia and North America. Wolves live in groups that are called packs. There can be as many as twenty wolves in a pack but it depends on food supply.

Puppies are born blind and death and can only join a pack at the age of 8 months.

Grey wolves were hunted near to extinction, but they have build up their population since. Many wolves live in Alaska, Canada and Asia, but they are also found in Europe

Eating habits:

Wolves mostly eat meat, but they do eat other types as well when there is not a lot of food available they will even eat insects and fruit, so they should actually be classified as omnivores. Wolves would even prey on the smallest and weakest animals in the pack if there is no food available.
