How To Be A Traveller Guide ~ Part 1
Preliminary
A traveller usually doesn't like the type of office work that requires you to sit in front of the computer from morning to afternoon for 5 full days. Boredom will surely dominate the everyday mood before they get really embarrassed and submit a resignation to the boss.
The right profession for a free-spirited traveller is certainly what gives him a different atmosphere every day. Be in a different place and meet different people. One of the professions that can be like that is Guides or Tour Guide. In addition to the dynamics of work that is not too monotonous. Imagine who would not want a profession like this?
If only to be an unofficial tour guide, the way is simple. Only find for friends who want to walk, directly offer your services. But, another case if you want to pursue guiding profession seriously. For that, you need to follow the certification to get official certification.
Certificate Guides you can use to apply for a job as a tour guide at various travel agent company or hotel. Without this license, there is little chance you can get the job. Even if you can, maybe only a few tourists will use your services. And salary is not too satisfied. Instead, the license can help you earn a better income and job security.
How To Obtain An Official Certificate And License?
Certification of guides in Indonesia issued by the Indonesian Tourism Profession Certification Institute (LSP Parindo). LSP Parindo is entitled to hold the certification under license from BNSP (National Agency for Professional Certification) through BNSP Decree number KEP.061 / BNSP / I / 2012 issued on 27 January 2012.
In addition to being eligible to certify the Tour Guide, LSP Indonesia Tourism is also entitled to certify other professions related to tourism activities such as tour guiding, tour planning and ticketing, hotel and restaurant.
LSP Indonesia Tourism has branches in every province. It's to facilitate the process of certification and supervision of the quality of human resources in the field of tourism in each province. In this way, the quality of tourism in our country can be more controlled and well monitored.
Meanwhile, licenses or work permits for Guides may only be granted by the Governor of each Province. The license is issued through the Head of the local Tourism Office. Licenses may be granted if a tour guide has received official certification from BNSP as described above.
Types of Guides
A guide leads a tour and gives a lot of explanation. But actually, everything isn't that, when certification has emerged. LSP Indonesia Tourism has determined there are several types of guides in Indonesia that can be certified as follows:
1. Local Guides
Local Guides is someone who is tasked to provide guidance, lighting and a show at a particular tourist attraction. If you want to be an easily certified tour guide without many problems and hassles, then you can be a local guide. This is because you only need to master the material in one tourist attraction only. For that, choose a tourist attraction that you are very interested in so you can enjoy your work without easily bored.
2. Custom Tour Guide with Specialized Expertise
Special guides with special expertise are those who are tasked with providing lighting guidance and guidance on a particular attraction with activities that require special skills. Activities that require special skills are like diving, trekking, or rock climbing. These activities are quite dangerous if not done with special expertise. The danger will be even greater if the guides themselves do not have the skills that qualified. That's why special types of guides are organized with this special skill.
3. General Guides
A public guide is someone who is tasked with providing guidance, illumination and guidance on the sights and helping everything that tourists need in a particular area and/or throughout the region. Being a public guide is great fun. This type of guides has a more dynamic rhythm than other guides because you can go on a guided tour to any place you care about across the region without much to do with anything else. Becoming a public guide is more difficult than being a local guide because you have to be able to master a lot of material from various objects and tourism activities. You also should be able to learn fast because later you can get a sudden task to a place that you never know.
4. Leader / Tour Manager
Tour Leader or Tour Leader is someone who is in charge of organizing the lead travel group of tourists in a particular region, national and international. If you are the type of people who want to earn a greater income, then this type of tour guide is what you need to learn.
However, being a tourist leader is not easy as being a public guide because of the matters he has to deal with more complex. But you can think of it as an exciting challenge.

Hello & Cheers!! I'm a content detection and information bot. You are receiving this reply because a short link or links have been detected in your post/comment. The purpose of this message is to inform your readers and yourself about the use of and dangers of short links.
To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign. But as with all useful tools there are dangers. Short links can be used to hide all sorts of things. Quite frequently they are used to hide referral links for instance. While not dangerous this can be deceptive. They can also be used to hide dangerous links such as links to phishing sites, sites loaded with malware, scam sites, etc. You should always be extremely cautious before clicking on one. If you don't know and trust the poster don't click. Even if you do you should still be cautious and wary of any site you are sent to. It's always better to visit the site directly and not through a short link.
To the author of the post: While short links may be useful on some sites they are not needed on steemit. You can use markdown to format your links such as this link to steemit. It's as simple as
[steemit](https://steemit.com)
Unlike short links this allows the reader to see where they are going by simply hovering over the link before they click on it.Congratulations!
