The most important thing to teach children is actually not a thing, it's the values. It's just like how the saying goes, let's not just teach children how to count, let's teach them what really counts the most.

Hello itinerants all over the world and steem community! I am more than excited again to be part of #steemiteducation's project for the week. Thanks to the community I am able to share my knowledge in promoting the welfare of the children and the society. For today we will be discussing about, what's the most important thing that we could teach children of all ages. Let's get started.

Helping the kids in any ages to thrive good moral values such as honesty, responsibility and giving respect to others is just as imperative as teaching them things that are taught at school such as writing, reading and comprehension skills. It is also important what values are you going to teach the children and define what are the best ways are to instill these to the kids.

Let's take Japan as an Example.

Kids in Japan are trained to go to school solo. It may horrify you but it's actually not. I am even amazed for it's for the mere purpose to train them independence at early earliest age.

Japanese school tradition wherein they teach their students how to be responsible by letting them learn good deeds by taking responsibility on some chores. In Japan, at earliest age kids are taught how to live than letting them answer some examinations.

There reasons why Japanese culture works this way, only because they want their kids to trust the community, teach independence, they believe that responsibility comes one at a time and teaching kids to let go.

THERE ARE EFFECTIVE WAYS HOW TO TEACH VALUES TO THE CHILDREN AT ANY AGES

1.) Lead by Example.

It is way effective if you show them the good traits you want them to gain. Children are very good at following someones action specially the people that surround them. They are easily influenced.

2.) Give them regular tasks with a positive reinforcement.

Giving them regular tasks alone may cause them to feel bored, tired and unmotivated. One way to encourage them to do such tasks is to give positive reinforcement. But there's a limit in giving rewards to the children. You may gradually take that reinforcement out gradually if you feel like there's a need to. So that they will not be dependent on the rewards.

3.) Appreciate them.

For kids, it's very important that you should make them feel loved and appreciated. They are attention seekers. If they feel like you are always busy and not appreciating their achievements or works they start to demotivate and tend to feel unwanted.

That's why for me values are the most important thing that we can ever teach to children at any ages for these are the things that could bring them to success and be a better unit in the society. This is something that people cannot take away from them. That's basically it for today's discussion learners! Thank you for #steemiteducation's project. I am more than glad to share you guys my thoughts in every discussion that we are going to tackle. Until next time. Have a nice day ahead.

@itinerant the culture of a nation/country can be defined in the ways the kids were brought up since birth. I really admire the Japanese culture.
