Developing Self-Expertise in Daily Life

Perhaps, we have met or befriended a twenty-year-old man, who has a brilliant style of speech and ideas. But ten or twenty years later you see his ability is still limited to it, still as it once was when he was 20 years old and no progress in life.

And at the same time, we also encounter many people who experience extraordinary changes and developments in life over the past ten years. Or maybe we've met someone who every time in his life is always growing and developing from before. Or, maybe we also meet a person who at any time his standard of living developed. Why did all this happen?

There are several human models in the problem of self-development, and let's try to uncover what their main concerns have been. There are some people in dealing with events on television for example, there is someone who only watches events programs that can add knowledge insight, develop his mindset, and increase his intellectual intelligence; they take advantage of events such as dialogue or special interviews with important figures to learn how they think, argue, dialogue, convey ideas, speak good, understand an issue, express an opinion without hurting others, and convince others.

In the meantime, there is someone who hardly ever misses a soap opera that tells of the failure of love, sentimental dramas, or scary horror movies, or fictional story films that are far from reality and often ruin moral and mental.

Let us look and see, "especially referring to ourselves," the state of both is five years or ten years later; which of the two will be more self-evident in terms of skills or abilities, such as in the ability to understand a problem, the level of intellect, the ability to convince others, and address events?

Can be ascertained, that who will experience a lot of self-development is the first person. And maybe we will get the first person to experience extraordinary self-development, both in his conversation; more qualified words, more scientific opinions, and have real data and accurate statistics.

As for the second person, every conversation and opinion he or she presents when he or she interacts with his or her friends, it is likely that what he or she says will be more based on the words of his favorite actress or the idols.

Now let's look at the other phenomenon again. In reading newspapers and magazines for example, how many people are willing to direct their attention to useful news and knowledge that can add insight and support the development of ability and expertise? Really, very little. And unfortunately, most people would rather read entertainment news that damages morale and mental. As a result, it is not surprising that many newspapers and magazines are competing to multiply their sports and entertainment pages by counting on the more useful news. This is a sad phenomenon that occurs in the midst of our society and our times.

Therefore, if we want to lead, not just for the led, then try to always seek and explore new skills, wherever we are. Then train us to practice these skills.
