Raising child is not an easy task at all. Delayed or underdevelopment makes this much harder. Lets have a look into some important developmental milestones of a normal, healthy and perfect child.

  • Stares, responds to rattle or bell, startle response, turns to look at observer's face: From Birth
  • Controls head when pulled to sitting position: 3 months
  • Bears weight on legs: 3-7 months
  • Sits with support: 4-6 months
  • Sits without support: 5-8 months
  • Crawls: 6-9 months
  • Palmer grasp: 3-6 months
  • Passes an object from one hand to another and puts in mouth: 18 weeks to 8 months
  • Smiles: Mean 5 weeks
  • Laughs: 2-5 months
  • Vocalizes: 4-6 months
  • Polysyllabic babbling: 6-10 months
  • Responds to own name: 4-8 months
  • Plays Peeks-a-boo: 5.5-10 months
  • Sitting position: 6-11 months
  • Walks holding onto furniture: 7-13 months
  • Walks alone: 10-15 months
  • Walks backwards: 12-22 months
  • Climb stairs: 14-22 months
  • Kick a ball: 15-24 months
  • Use "mama" and "dada": 11-20 months
