Hello steemians, this posts contains a guide for steemians; most of the questions we ask and probably we may not have found out the answers. It's a must-read for every steemian who chooses to be successful in this platform. It was ensured that it cuts across a vast aspect. It's gonna be a beneficiary tool for every newbie who reads it, and if applied will take the individual to the next level. As it is said "information is power". Various aspects are touched here, including the technical aspects; the secrets behind the successful steemians; and where most steemians have failed without excluding what led to that.
In order to make it interactive, the question and answer section was designed, with the inclusion of images to connect with the readers.

Q. For discord error whereby you can't post a message on discord again. You may want to sign up for @ginabot so that you can get notifications. What do you do?
A. May be you've been kicked out by a bot. It will ask for your phone number so that you can verify then follow the text if you receive one, if not, check your email spam box. It may also ask you to verify your email to ensure that you're a human.
Another thing you could do is to use their support, by making your complain there. They will send a mail that they have acknowledged your message, hence working on it. Funny enough, you might not be banned nor kicked out by a bot.
It's not a must that you'll benefit or earn ALWAYS. If you understand steemit, you'll discover that post promotion is not all it takes, neither is it that effective.
Note:
For every newbie, your first tag must include "introduce yourself". Your post should have this format:
Your name
What you do
Your hobbies
Like/dislikes
How you know about steemit or who introduced you steemit.
Conclusion
Avoid an introductory post that is too short.
Subsequently, Your tags must be related to your post, or the body of your post. Tag varies based on content. Avoid the steemit tag except you are writing something concerning steemit.

Q. How do I delete a post?
A. You can't delete a post on steemit. It's not a good practice. However, try to be creative with it and still make it a good post. Or you edit it and clear the text... replacing it with deleted.
Q. What kind of post can one post on steemit?
A. You can post anything. Your post mustn't be short, though it might be okay depending on the purpose. Thanks to @dante31 for this reply.
Q. It is also advisable to reference the source of the image you use if not original. Do you know why?
A. Steemit deals with originality. You can't be flagged for plagiarism. You don't just earn from dropping posts. You earn for creating original contents and bringing value to the system. Value can be informations, steemit promotions etc. Copy and paste is frowned on steemit. Cheetah may not find you... but once you are spotted... you will be flagged to nothingness. You can quote an author by mentioning the author, that's okay.
Q. How is a reference done?
A. [Name it as you want it to appear](put the link here)

The brackets should be included, with no space in between.
Note:
Another important thing to know is "Building networks of friends".
Media like discord and steemchat are useful tools to achieve this.
Q. So how do I recover my passkey?
A. There's no recovery for Steemit password. The only way you can access your account is if you saved your password.
Q. Is there any way to cash out steem at present?
A. You can sell it to anyone who wants to buy or use bittrex or blocktrades.
Your knowledge of Html will help you in text editing.
Q. Is there a way I can edit an image into the post after posting?
A. Yes! Click the edit button at the bottom of your post.

Learn to ask questions. That moment when you refuse to ask question and keep on getting poor result, it is not anybody fault but your own fault. Most people end up leaving as a result of frustration. The level of frustration increases most especially when you see others testifying. The thing is there is no magic, all you need to do is learn. Learn to get closer with those that can help. Once person refuse to help, take it as life move on to the next person. Your testimony could be coming from the pieces of information you get from them too. Also don't be lazy to appreciate hard work. By making good comments on a post.
People don't grow or earn because they don't know. Knowing is the way forward. Informations will come when you inquire.
Q. What is the difference between steemit and other social media platforms?
A. This is often a mistake many people commit. People mistake steemit with Facebook or Instagram or Twitter.
Steemit is neither of those...
Here you have to posts QUALITY ORIGINAL CONTENT THAT BRINGS VALUE
That's the one single rule you need here.
IN SUMMARY, what these means include:
- No copy and paste
- Write full length articles at least 300-500words describing what you are talking about in details
- Use images to expatiate.
- Only quote sentences and not paragraphs or whole text.
- Site the source of any information that's not yours including pictures, videos, words etc
- Interact with your audience. Never leave blog comments unreplied.
- Visit other people's blogs...

A. You use it login to other applications on the steem blockchain

A. Go to your profile. For Posting key... go to wallets...check permission...the first one... click to reveal it. There you have it.

Q. How can I get more upvotes on my post?
A. Just like when you join Twitter newly... You you can't get comments or likes or retweet. To get upvotes you have to Socialize.
Q. Ok...so how do I socialize?
A. You can make friends easily with steemians in WhatsApp groups which is cool. However... go out on steemit and make more friends. Now is the best time. Steemit has less than 700k users.

There maybe more but these are the ones I know. When you download discord on in you phones or use the web platform, join these servers.
Q. Am I to log in steemit.chat with the same steemit user name and password? Or am I gonna open a new account?
A. Steemit.com is different from steemit chat. You have to register with ur steemit user names an new password. But mind u d password are different. On steemit chat you are the one to create password.
Still on the issue of tags in regards to the new members. I'll keep emphasizing this often. Make sure you use "introduceyourself, nigeria" and any other 3 tags you will like to blog about to complete the tags by making it 5 as a maximum.
For reference purposes, use the format [Source](image url) no space both brackets are together, as earlier said. Where source is writing you can edit it to say credits or image source or number it in cases where you have many images.
You can go online on discord app or attend the curation Sunday.
Q. How can I get the discord app?
A. The link to the discord app is https://discord.gg/Y48PZsh. You can download the mobile app from app store or play store. Or you can use web application which can only be view in pc.

A. Those are some of the questions that may be running in your mind. Well,
no need to concentrate on word count(it is important). Reviews have to be well detailed. You are reviewing a finished work. So what you are doing is a full recap of what it is about , to entice people to want to read it, just like movie trailers. Add your own personal views, criticism , addition etc. Rate the book according to you. It can be as long as 5k words. Details are important. Steemit blogging is work, and according to the general book ratings, for movies, use imdb or rotten tomatoes etc.

A. Scroll up, I talked about posting key. Use it.
Avoid short contents, always reference your image using the format above as explained. Upload them well and extend your points. If not your post will look like a WhatsApp broadcast.
Steemit blogging is work... You do it well and interact with people (socializing) then on the long run you can earn well. Steemit is not a drop a post and go...then get upvotes.
That's the error we commit most of the times. Most Nigerians don't interact. They only drop post. Post promotion all the time. When peeps are discussing..making friends and community building, harnessing the awesomeness of discord app, you won't find them. But once it is a matter of sbd or steem or upvote yarns, They will come out. Shit don't work like that. Listen to whales talk on MSP waves.

A(1). I own a blog and I'm on steemit.
Steemit helps you promote your writing and even your blog better.
A(2). You get paid for your quality posts rather than having to go through the usual google AdSense on blogs..except you have advertisers who are paying you directly though.

Steemit is all about the advantages. The disadvantages are kind of irrelevant. But that's a full lecture on its own. On steemit you have control over your contents. That's the simplest form to describe it. Have more knowledge on blockchain technology and you will get the gist.
Steemit is a platform that accommodates blogs.
Steemit happen to be the only platform where value is been appreciated and rewarded, no other blog....I repeat no other blog will give value for your content, only if you want to pay for the value you have just created. Google will reap you of your content by placing relative ads on you content earning millions. There by what they have give you is just a peanut.

It's simple, you need to interact!
You don't have to follow people to see your content. You follow authors or people you like thier blog.so they can show on your feeds. Once you post and tag it properly people will visit, Maybe 1 or 2. Reply them, visit their blogs too, make friends.

A. The main thing is voting power. Your voting power determines how you influence post. They all have low voting weight
I think social relationships and visibility is the problem here. You need to interact more with other steemians for you to be noticed. Comment reasonable on their posts and create an unforgettable bond. Who knows who will gat your back at the end?...
Also, you need to follow more people as to make your post visible to as much people. If you are following just 10 people, it is possible only 4 out of those 10 sees your post but what difference will that make? Hence, why we advise folkowership. You can pick a role model on steemit and follow his followings.

A. On the tag issue.. Tags are important aspect of classification and curation in steemit and other platforms alike. Tags helps in grading your work in a particular category and helps curators for a particlar tag find your work easily. So, if you write a fiction, fiction should be one of its tag.
For the community curie to visit your churned out quality post, use the Nigeria tag.

Owk, after downloading the app from play-store or getting it from a friend, open the app and create accout with your steemit username. For you to be able to send message, you'll be asked to verify email.
