Strategic Planning of learning plans
Regardless of your pupils’ abilities or experience, there is always a need for good strategic planning to ensure the learning experience within the classroom caters to individual needs.
How do we determine what is appropriate or the level of difficulty of our lessons?
Short diagnostic test
Short diagnostic test is a good way to determine your pupils’ prior knowledge as well as their readiness for the topic to be taught.
A good diagnostic test should be set according to the learning objectives given by the syllabus guide within your school or by ministry of education.
It can be a test to evaluate past learning to determine your pupils’ readiness for the new concepts to be introduced.
Bridge learning gaps
After identifying the learning gaps, you should address the learning gaps first before starting the new concept so that there is a good building up effect from previous learning rather than teach concepts in isolation.
It is always wise to interlink different concepts and draw out the relationships so that it is not only easier to retain but meaningful.
Time management
With the implementation plan in mind, you may want to look at your overall topics and concepts to be taught.
Have a good estimate of how much time you need for each item and spread your time accordingly.
Provide more time for those that you know are more essential concepts.
Individual student
Regardless of how good your learning plan, certain pupils may just need the individual help to catch up with the rest.
Extra small group lesson after your curriculum time may just do the trick so that these pupils can follow your lessons more effectively during your whole class teaching.

Sometimes is necessary to give a step back just to level the classroom. Some teachers see this as a waste of time and prefers to push students into a lot of stress.
Perhaps taking a step back, a teacher can decide what is a better teaching strategy to help a class to achieve the lesson objective more effectively!
