How do you measure happiness?
Positive energy creates more energy, initiative, and happiness. Your mind is a powerful tool, fill it with positive thoughts, and your life will flourish.
Happiness cannot be measured in money. We don't always act as if it is true. The greatest of all goods are those which can be shared with others without fear of losing their possessions.
Things that you can share that will bring happiness are a well-furnished mind, a lively appreciation of beauty, a marked capacity for friendship, a noble and kindling devotion. If you share them with me, you won't have less of them, in fact, you will have more of them.
To be happy is not because everything is good, but because you can see the good in everything.
When you love what you have, you have everything you need.
Our attitude towards power
Many people think that happiness comes from more power or more money. The abuse of power takes happiness away. In our moments of clear insight, we do believe this. Recognizing the truth of it we may spend more of our lives attempting to collect things which we cannot share with others. Then there is the prevailing attitude towards power. We all know deep down in our hearts that the only power worth having is the power to create something beautiful and useful or to help someone so that their faces light up with joy and happiness and hope. Is power not to contribute just a little to the welfare and progress of humans? The power of hope upon human exertion and happiness are wonderful.
No-one should have the power to make you feel small, remember that you are the one with the power to create your own happiness.
Napoleon's power was brutish and brief oppose to the power of Louis Pasteur. His power is glorious and enduring.
Whose power are we practicing today? Gifted men most commonly seek Napoleonic power.
Ultimate Happiness
The ultimate sources of happiness are not money and power but warm-heartedness. True happiness does not come from prosperity, pleasure, and power but from peace. There is only one way to true happiness and that is to stop worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will.
