Another popular saying that you here all the time. When people says this, they usually want the hearer to understand that what you know can be empower you to solve a particular problem. For example, if you have knowledge about electronics, it can help fix these appliances at home. If you know your rights, you can fight for what is yours or defend yourself against intimidation. Generally, the more things you know, the more you can fight and overcome challenges. However, knowledge is power when you put it to good use. Otherwise, knowledge could just be a waste.

So try to put what you know into use. Many people are aware of the economic challenges facing them, but they are adamant to try new things. They are simply reluctant or completely carefree. For example, smokers are fully aware that smoking kills. They know that smokers are liable to die young. But do they put such knowledge to use by stopping that bad habit? In such a case, that knowledge is powerless. Again, everyone is knows that drinking and driving is a dangerous combination. Still, everyday, thousands of people hit the road with high alcohol levels in their system. They kill or get killed. The knowledge they have about drunk-driving is powerless.

So the point is really clear. If you fail to put knowledge to use, it becomes powerless, not able to help you in any way. So, whatever knowledge you posses, try to implement it. When you put knowledge to good use, it can be really powerful.
