Guitar 101 [#1] - Basic chords

in #steemiteducation9 years ago (edited)

Clean your guitar, take it out from the closet and get shit done.

There are so many ways to learn how to play the guitar, it's difficult to explain why, but there isn't one better than the other. But it is a known fact that, sooner or later, you will need chords. Sorry.

Today we'll start with four of the easiest so don't be afraid, you don't have to know how to do bar-chords to start playing, at least not for now. With these chords, you'll be able to play many of your favorite songs.

First of all, something beneficial is to know each name of the musical notes.

For English speakers perhaps you don't have to learn the Hispanic terminology, but it could be useful if you want to learn a latin song. Yeah, I know you'd love to learn how to play "Despacito".

Check out the following image and try to put your fingers accurately.

You probably have a million of questions or so, and that's completely normal. Why are chords formed this way? Are there other ways to play them? Major and minor? What are bar chords?

There is a lot of information that I'm not telling to you but, in the following posts, we'll figure it out so don't give it too much thought now and just practice these four chords as frequent as you can.

If you have a question, make sure to leave a comment below.

Love this @ffodie . Just talked with my granddaughter last night and she was telling me she will be starting guitar lessons. Anxious to share this with her. I want to learn as well. Look forward to your following posts.

That's awesome @vickiebarker! This data will be really useful for you and your granddaughter if you want to learn how to play the guitar. :) Stay tune!
