Where the Language comes from?

in #steemiteducation7 years ago

The debate about the origins of the language has been happening for a long time. There is always a long debate and debate about the origin of language. Many are asking where the language comes from. The former linguist had forbidden to debate the origin of language because it was deemed to be unfounded and unscientific. Nevertheless, the debate is still occurring until now, the origin of language has never been revealed.

Well, the origin of language is still a mystery that has not been solved until now but behind it all there are several theories that try to express how the language appeared at first. Want to know more? Here's the review.

  1. Language Comes from God
In this theory, the language is derived from God and created by God too. For me this theory has the greatest degree of truth, because everything in the world is created. Actually debating the first language is exactly like debating the first person on earth and how it exists. It is all answered only with the theory of creation.

  2. Language Derived from Nature (onomatope)
This one theory states that language comes from natural sounds like the sound of animals. For example, the word "gecko" is derived from the sound of the gecko itself which according to the Indonesian people read "gecko." This theory gets a lot of opposition from linguists because they think that humans can not imitate the language of the creatures that are lower than they are.

  3. Social Theory
Adam Smith states that language comes from the social process of man, where to name a thing someone will give a name for the object. Suppose someone finds a "stone" then he will call it "rock" and introduce it to his friends until the name "stone" is agreed upon.

  4. Interjectory Theory
This theory rests on the human habit of mentioning a particular word under certain conditions. In the west this theory is known by the name of the "pooh-pooh" theory because westerners often preach the word "pooh" when they see disgusting conditions.

  5. Nativity Theory or Ding-dong Theory
This theory rests on the assumption that all living things have a peculiar sound when it happens like a blowgun.

Story of the Babil Tower
It is said that there is a story that says that in ancient times when men communicate with one language then different because of a curse from God. In the story tells of the construction of a large tower and named the babil tower. The tower was built to reach the gods that are in the sky, and to make the tower fail to be built god also changed the language of each worker to be different so the construction of the tower babil pu failed. It is said that this is where multitude of languages appear in the world.

Just Story

Well the above is not to be trusted but it is only as intelligible to know that there is such a story about the origin of language.
