Have you ever felt something new but as if you've experienced it before? Have you ever felt very familiar with something so new to you? Have you ever experienced it all? It is commonly called DEJAVU. What is DEJAVU? Why do we feel it?

The term DEJAVU comes from French. The term was first introduced by a researcher in the field of French psychologist Emile Boirac. The term DEJAVU is used to describe an atmosphere as if it had been felt before. Though it is a new thing happened.

In other words, DEJAVU is something that happens as a repetition of the past. Though it is a thing that just happened or experienced.

There are several opinions about DEJAVU. Researchers in the field of psychology say that DEJAVU is a unique brain activity. The frontal lobe checks the entire memory of the brain, and sends a signal if there is a memory error, the conflict between things we have actually experienced and what we think we have experienced. That's when DEJAVU happens.

So there are events that have really happened but there are also events that we think happened.

While there are other opinions that say different things. Prof. Ahmad Syauqi Ibrahim says DEJAVU Is the unconscious acvity. In his book entitled Mystery of the Unseen Potential of Man he says that DEJAVU is closely related to the activity of the spirit or the soul of man.

Prof. Syauqi says that while sleeping the soul will go to another place. When he comes back there will be a contradiction of memory. That is why DEJAVU happend to us.
