in #steemiteducation7 years ago

Honesty is a very expensive moral value. It's very difficult to find people who never lie. Almost everyone has lied. Not only adults, children also often lie. Lie is not a good attitude, so children should be educated early on not to be a person who likes to lie.

So how to educate children to be honest?

There are times when circumstances force us not to say too honestly. But always honest is a very commendable attitude. Honest behavior can not be taught simply but it must be educated for a long time. Honest is attitude, honest is the character that must be implanted.

There are several things you can try to educate children to be honest. Here are some things that can be done to educate children to be honest.

  1. Do not Introgate Too Hard
When children do wrong should not be interrogated loudly. Do not let the child build a perception that telling the truth will harm him. If the child has assumed so then he chose to avoid the problem and say a lie. Such understanding will result in the child telling a lie. Because he thinks lying is better.

  2. Do not Give Punishment for Being Honest
When children do the wrong thing, it will be asked. The child will think of the consequences of his words. If he thinks that lying is better and not punished then he will continue to lie. The punishment should be alleviated if the child has told the truth, admitted his mistake and apologized.

  3. Advise
At an early age, advice is more important than punishment. If you give an understanding to the child that telling the truth is better then he will not lie. So it's better to tell your child that you prefer an honest, untruthful child.

  4. Do not Give an Wrong Example
Children lie because they see adults lying. He imitates and makes it his attitude and behavior. It is fitting that you teach your child not to lie and always tell the truth. Model him and be an example.

The Danger of Lies

Basically lies have their own danger levels. But basically lie is also the source of the all problems. One lie will lead to another lie. And when a lie is lied then another lie will come out.

Lie is another trigger of evil. Even corruption is born of a lie. Evil crime and a war can be born of a lying person. It is time we shape the character of future generations to be honest and moral. There are enough lies in this world.

At the end of this article I hope all educators, parents and adults around the world to be able to educate children into an honest, honest generation. Educate future generations better in order to realize a better world. It all started with a high degree of honesty and morals.
