RE: What To Do When An Earthquake Happens ?
This is very good information. It depends on how your buildings are constructed, but in my country we no longer recommend sheltering in doorways because doorways are not that strong, it can be hard to get to a doorway in an earthquake and the swinging door can present an additional hazard.
If you are woken by an earthquake, then just rolling off the bed and sheltering next to it can be helpful. But then I'm not concerned about falling roof tiles.
