SEVEN WAYS TO GAIN THE ATTENTION OF YOUR STEEMIT FOLLOWERS AND VIEWERS

Part 1

The words you write. You know needs to be right in other to capture the attention of the audience you want.
You’ve created them carefully, crafted to suit who ever reads them. You finally hit “post,” and what happens?
No one views them or reads them. No comments, no resteem, no upvotes, no sharing on discord pages etc.

That alone is quite enough to send a blogger into deep depression and “kill” his or her motivation to keep writing new and great posts.
Thinking you need to spend another 1000 hours mastering your writing skills? Well, I don’t think so!

In actual sense the solution to the problem is much easier than you may think. less writing and more formatting of your text so it’s easy to read could practically be all you need to do to capture and hold attention of your reader.
Impatient searchers

According to research, 79 % of web users prefer to scan a page rather than to read it.
Think of how you use the web yourself. You’re searching for an information. And if you don’t find it on the page you visited, you click the return button and search elsewhere

The web is more unless like a “sit forward and participate” medium. Television, on the other hand, is a “sit back and watch me” medium.
So the question comes up, what can I do to capture the attention of my reader so that the lean into your content, remain on the page and interact with your content?

Let’s make it snappy

To write successfully for your viewers, you need to practically forget some of the things you learnt in English class 101
Just accept that majority of web surfers scan web pages, rather than read into detail, so work with this reality rather than fight it because you will lose

If you want to cover a challenging topic, consider dividing them into a series of posts this is a great way to ensure that your viewers keep coming back for more, and your reader will find it easier to digest your content if they get it in portioned sizes. Think of your post as a movie with several sequels example the Harry potter movies

Now structure your paragraphs in the inverted pyramid style. This means you begin with your conclusion, then support with the sentences that follow. This will help scanners move from point to point and can also decide where they’d like to dive deeper into your post.

Once that is out of the way, use the easy design techniques which areas follows to make your content much more reader-friendly.
It takes just a few minutes to turn a post from a mass of gray text to something that engages the reader and pulls them in.

1. Embrace the line break

There are few ways to make your content readable. Even complex content can be made much more reader-friendly with the introduction of white spaces.
Place one idea in one paragraph, and keep them as short and simple as possible — three to four sentences at most.
You can even try writing some paragraphs with only one sentence.

2. Break up your content with compelling subheads

A strong premise is crucial to attracting readers to check out your post in the first place. And solid subheadings also keep readers glued to your page, acting as “mini headlines” to keep your readers moving through the post.
Make sure your subheads are intriguing as well as informative. Web readers have a well-honed BS meters, so don’t try to
exaggerate else you will lose your credibility.

Once you’ve written your subheads, review them to see what readers/scanners will understand if they only read that part of your article.

How about you? What are your favorite techniques for getting readers to lean in to your content? Let’s talk about it in the comment.

This post is in two sections stay tunes to receive the other part on my next post.
