TODAY IS NATIONAL ONLINE LEARNING DAY!
Every day offers us an opportunity to celebrate. Today I’m celebrating online learning. Online learning is available to anybody with a computer and an Internet connection. There are several sites that provide free classes for those who wish to learn. Colleges and Universities also have Internet classes for their students working for credits or degrees.
I consider myself a lifelong learner, and the Internet has been a game changer. I’ve searched YouTube to see how to fix things around the house, learn Photoshop, and other programs on my computer.
I’ve also attended online university classes for graduate credits. Currently I’m enrolled in Poetry in America: From the Mayflower through Emerson. The main reason I signed up for this course was to learn more about poetry. Although I write a poem every day(almost), I really don’t know much about poetry. So, I signed up for this course in hopes of improving my poetry knowledge and writing. Today’s poem is inspired by my experience in online learning.
suits me just fine.
usually when I’m primed.
my mind I’m feeding.
I watched the video lecture.
like getting clarification.
hoping to learn the most.
I let my mind wander.
my reward is new thoughts to explore!
I give them my best.
as I write my final thesis.

Your poem is great. There is a nice rapport between lines.
I am using Edx. It is a perfect platform with quality lecturers from famous Universities.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the poem. Edx is a great resource. What type of lectures do you like?

I am actually electronics engineer and use engineering classes. And in additon to that, language courses are great. I mostly check MIT courses and I remember the guy, if I am not wrong, is an electrical and electronics engineer. I took circuit lecture from him.
My son is a Mechanical Engineer and he also love the MIT lectures. He works for a small company that makes electric motors, so occassionally he watches some Electrical engineering classes. I'm more a humanities/art oriented individual and love that MIT also has those type of lectures available.
