Hello friends and colleagues of @steemiteducation, another way to celebrate the "Earth Day" is to develop a School Garden and with this carry out many activities that we can do with the students.

For this year a project was carried out with the School Gardens, which began in the second period of the 2016-217 school year.

For which you must carry out different activities, such as:

• Development of seedbeds. (Chili, chives, tomato, paprika). The nurseries were made in the classroom with recycled material (juice cartons, yogurt, wooden boxes), pots were drilled to allow drainage at the time of irrigation, then placed a soil preparation with fertilizer and seeds previously selected.

• Prepared from compost.
  For which all students of the institution in turn should bring debris such as: eggshells, fruit and vegetable peels, dry twigs from the garden, wet grass, coffee grounds.

• Preparation of the soil (20 cmts, application of bottom fertilizer and leveling). To eliminate any kind of waste, stones, herbs or other objects. Demarcate the earth.
  This activity requires special tools such as pickup, rake, shovels, garden sprinklers, socks and gardening gloves.

• Transplanting seedlings
  After the land is prepared, the transplant must be done, leaving the necessary space between each plant.
  

  
  

• Reseeding
  This is done a few days later to cover the spaces where the seedlings did not occur.
  

  

• Sowing care tasks (irrigation, cleaning, fertilizer).
  Water with plenty of water but not to exceed and preferably in the afternoon.
  

  

• Harvest
  These are some of the products that were harvested in the garden, which were delivered to the school canteen to prepare children's meals.

• Allusive to "Earth Day", with which a walk was made along the avenue in front of the institution.
  

Walk to the park

• Outdoor games. It is important that children are in contact with the environment, for this reason some activities were planned outside the institution and more the park of the city that is next to us. In order to raise awareness about the importance of keeping the environment clean and preserving green areas, as well as caring for and planting trees that provide oxygen.
