Affirmations are indeed critical to shape a child with a confident character and powerful mind.
As a parent and I watch my kid in the classroom, I see her and the class as flowers. When properly treated / educated, they would bloom to a beautiful garden and would have a positive contribution to society (when that happens, I would be an old dude huhuhu... still cool though hehehe...) :D
