How to teach children to reflect on issues that help them grow as people?
Each person establishes their goals according to their tastes, their dreams or their needs, which in many cases are the engine of day to day.
For aspirations to be met, you must have goals, since the way you act and the steps to follow let you know where to go. For that, people can put different names: goals, objectives and / or dreams.
When you know what you want, it is when you begin to develop all the ideas, creativity and the search for solutions. If you want to advance, you must know where you are going.
How to establish objectives and know how far you can go?
For this question there are reflections and answers that can be spontaneous:
The spontaneous response is the first thing that comes to people's minds, where do I want to go? What do I expect?
There are more reflexive responses, in which the pillars are taken, such as family, school, personal life, social life and with each of them you think about where you want to go. There are areas in which there is a clear stability, in which you do not have to think about anything.
How to teach children to look for achievable goals?
Teach that everything should be planned, because everything that is not planned is left to improvisation. It is very true that in life, there are parts that lead to improvisation, but there are others that deserve to be well planned.
What it means to plan, is based on:
Where I want to go?
Why do I pursue this dream?
What are the advantages that will bring me?
After analyzing these questions, you should consider the small steps to achieve it.
Does having goals motivate us or not having them take away motivation?
There are people who do not have goals, do not think about them and can live motivated. The clearest examples can be two (02), for example:
They love being in chaos, and they like the creative part of not having order or routine and can handle themselves in that environment, according to their emotional stability.
There are people who have a routine of orderly life, who know what they have to do and at what time. Normally they do not need to consider the objectives, because they are already on the way, they are doing it with their way of being.
The objectives are for people who want to do new things and for different reasons, do not commit or do not.
Activity to teach children to reflect
Calendar for the objectives. The calendar and dates are fundamental, people are ordered by limits, and they know at what time they should eat breakfast, eat and sleep.
The children will create a calendar to their style, which they can paste at home or paste in the notebook, in this way they will take an order of the good things for their life, according to a set schedule.
The calendar must have in writing: the correct schedule of the subject, the hours of the snack, the schedule of personal cleanliness, the recreation, the extracurricular activities, to share with friends, the hours of games, among others.
The schedule will allow to organize and regulate the children. The objectives establish schedules and dates to know when they must be fulfilled and so that the brain does not disperse.
Write essay. Children should write the reasons that lead them to pursue a dream, that goal. With this they will not forget it, because when they are only thoughts, they tend to forget it, and for that, paper plays an important role.
On paper, they should write what they like most and why they want to fight, the teacher can give the example of a sport and, in this way, encourage the practice with perseverance and dedication.
If children do not order their ideas, they do not put it on paper, they can forget it. It is about helping to have what they want, so that they grow as people, because it is a sample of what they have always wanted and should not disappear with time.
Reflection helps to establish priorities, which means knowing what is important and what is less important.
