Hi guys, this time I brought you somethings which are very useful in English, Idioms. In idioms, the figurative meaning is different from it's literal meaning. After you read the rest of this post, you will be able to get a clear idea about idioms.
- Early bird
Someone who wakes up/ comes to a place (school, workplace etc.) early.
Eg: You are the early bird in our class.
- Piece of cake
Something very easy.
Eg: Ohh writing an essay is a piece of cake for me.
- Kill two birds with one stone
Get two results from one attempt.
Eg: Posting educational posts here in Steemit is like killing two birds with one stone because I can do my revisions and also earn some money.
- Give me a hand
Asking for help.
Eg: Can you please give me a hand with my luggage?
- I don't buy it
I don't believe it
Eg: A - Why did you hit George?
B - I hit him because he stole my pencil.
C - He won't do such a thing. I don't buy it.
- Couch potato
Someone who spends all his time watching TV.
Eg: Don't be a couch potato, do some exercises if you want to be healthy.
