Fun & Quick Experiments: Hot ice!

                           

  Hot ice?? Yes, hot ice. This experiment is very easy and very fun to watch. You can have fun with experiment when you're bored or just love doing experiments. One thing for sure is that you have the ingredients right in your kitchen meaning that you don't have to waste time having to go buy the ingredients! 


What you'll need:

  • White vinegar(1 litre)
  • Bicarbonate of soda (4 tablespoons)
  • A large bowl

What to do:

  1. Pour 1 litre of vinegar in a bowl. 
  2. Add 4 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda. 
  3. But the mixture on the stove on medium heat. 
  4. Let it boil for an hour on the stove. 
  5. Pour the mixture into a jug or whatever you want and place it in the fridge to cool down. Make sure that the mixture is clear before putting it in the fridge. 
  6. Once the mixture has cooled down for a bit, you can get a bowl or tray and watch it crystalize as you pour it! 


Tip: 

The mixture may get discoloured but don't worry when it does that. 

You can take it a step further by adding some food colouring to the mixture and having different colours!
