The importance of involving learners in planning activities

Interesting activities of course is very liked by many people. Moreover, these activities have a challenge, will certainly make people curious to try it.

But not all types of interesting and challenging activities are suitable for everyone. These activities should be adjusted for age and gender.

In Scout activities, as one of continuous non-formal education, the age and gender factors become the main focus point of its implementation.

The guidance system in the scout puts more learners to the target subject, so that the active role of the learners is greater than that of the scout coach.

The role of scout coach is as a facilitator, mentor or companion, who always provide motivation and stimulation (stimulus) to the concept of activities, through appropriate methods in each such activity.

To achieve the goal, a scout coach should involve full learners in activities, both in planning and preparing activities.

It becomes important, because they will understand how to arrange and implement an activity, obstacles or problems to be faced, and how to overcome them, etc.

In the implementation, although there is already good planning, there is no guarantee the activities will run smoothly. There are times when there are shortcomings, and may have to be done repeatedly, until learners really understand and can do it.

In this process the role of scout coach is needed. Observe each activity performed. Reflect on the deficiencies in the activity, and apply again.

With the method known as DORA (Do, Observation, Reflection, Aplication), then learners will more quickly understand and understand it.

Of course there are many methods that can be applied. All methods have the same goal, that is so that all learners can more quickly understand and understand it.
