The yellow little baby octopus.

Luan was on his way home from school running and jumping very happy as he could now go to the forest and enjoy all the animals. 

When he was half way home he saw his mother driving up in the car and she said, Luan I have a wonderful surprise for you, get in we will go there right now.

Luan was so happy to see his mother and said, what are we going to do?  

She said I know how you love the forest but your aunt, my sister phoned me and told me she found the most beautiful video on her computer and that she is waiting for us so that we can go and look at it. 

Why would she want us to look at it he asked? 

Well she knows how much you love animals and she found this beautiful little octopus baby that she wanted to show you.

 Mother what is an octopus? She told him that it is an animal that live in the sea, just like the animals you like in the forest, they just live in the sea.

I have never been to the sea, how does it look. I do promise to take you there on our next holiday.  It is so big you will not believe it when you see it, but you will see it one of these days. 

In the sea there are so many animals that you have not seen like sharks and fish and there are so many things you will not believe it. When we go home we will get a book from the library and I will get show you before we go and then you will see how beautiful it can be. 

There are waves and they come and go from the sea onto the beach. People love to go on holiday there as it is a very peaceful feeling just like your forest is.

Just then they stopped in front of his aunt’s house and could not wait to see this little octopus that his mother was talking about. They went into the house and his aunt said. 

Luan just come and see this beautiful little octopus baby that I found here on my computer. Listen they are telling you a lot about him yet we will try and learn more if we can. She then showed him this short video and he could not believe this beautiful little animal. 

This was just a baby but she told him that they can be very big and that some people even eat them when they are grown up, just like we eat steak and other things, they can be eaten as well.

He sat staring at this little yellow baby and could not believe it. Don’t they have to breathe mother he asked. Yes darling but they can breathe under water, something we cannot do. 

Oh he is so beautiful we must find out more about him, I think we will find the books about the sea and then tomorrow we will read all about the fish and the sharks as well as the waves and how they are made. What do you think Luan.

It sounds wonderful so tomorrow we will learn a little more about octopus and sea creatures.

That is right my darling tomorrow we will learn more about sea animals as you know all the about the forest animals you so love.
