MAGNETISM FOR SMALL CHILDREN

This is how a magnet look when you use it to navigate.

We all know what a magnet is. It is something you can put on a fridge to keep your drawings and paintings for mom to see. If we do well at school we even put our test results on there for mother and father to see. This is because if you work hard at a subject you will do well and get good test results. Parents are always proud of their children when they work as hard as they can and then get the best marks they can. It does not have to be very high scores as some of us can only get as much as we are capable of, as long as we really tried our best. This will still make your parents very happy as your best is always good enough. We do not all have the same abilities some are better at certain things than others. For instance some children do better in Maths and other better in a Language. It does not matter what you are good at as long as you are doing your best. Those magnets that mom and dad put on the fridge are actually very interesting to learn about and that is why I am putting a video in here for you so that you will know why they stick to the fridge.

We will now see that magnets attract certain things like nickel, iron and cobalt. The magnet has two poles. A negative and a positive Pole. Different poles attract each other, while the same poles push each other away.

This is all very easily explained in the video, yet you have to follow it as there are funny things happening in the video. It is about a little boy going fishing. Once you understand this you will know why the magnet stick to the refrigerator and you can show all the proud things you have done to your parent. If you have a friend who does not know you can even explain magnetism to him or her.
