Learn what children are thinking.
We do not always understand what they mean, but we must listen to their way of talking and they all have different ways of doing it.
Children have their own language and have their own way of thinking and they want us to see them the way they are.
Do we ever really listen with the way they want us to.
It is something that we have to change and we must learn how to think like them.
In this video this man is explaining this to us in the best way I have ever seen. He realised that children want to learn in a different way, and they want you to learn with them.
We put children in a classroom and tell them all the time what to do, what if it is not what they want to do.
Please watch this video it might just open your eyes to understanding children better.
He tells a story about a child that used to be great. And then he found out that he handled it very wrong as he never realised how difficult her life really was.
He does give us a few examples and I think some are funny, but they seem to reach the children in a much better way.
I am not saying it is the only way of teaching but it is definitely a good way for him.
There might be a few ideas you can use as teachers.
Never forget to take risks and enjoy the children in your class.
He thinks that we can change school for everyone if you just use another way of teaching.
We are too formal and do not give the children time to explain or show us what they really want.
If we can do that all children would be so happy, and you will be a great teacher.
