Welcome back @tin-tin! Great post as always.
Learning music at a young age is really important. Like all languages, it is much easier to do the earlier you learn, coming at it from older, you lose the "mother tongue" advantage, which is quite significant!

I agree! Children actually tend to assimilate stuff regarding music more naturally, which makes childhood a prime time for music education.
Which is why I think a lot of people who start music at a young age have advantages over those who don't. Too bad that music education isn't really being given much attention these days...
