Steemit in genaral has seen massive growth in only last year and new people keep coming in each and every day. So has our local community #SteemitGhana grown in numbers.

We have grown for a handfull to a "tank full".... Lol

This increasing numbers, with many having little knowledge of how to go about things have seen many people blogging without even a picture or avatar to associate to their identity.

Today, I would like to address such problem. Probably I can help one or two people to set up their profiles.

Photo url can be obtained for any image, so far as image is already somewhere on the web

• All you need to do is, right click on the image

• Select copy image link

• Or open in new tab and copy the url

2. How to get the photo link of a picture on your local drive

To load your own photo or photos on your device, you would need to host them on any free hosting site and get the urls

These sites would help:

• Postimages.org
• Imgsafe.org
• Steeming.com
• Tinypic.com

• Then grab the Direct Link to the image

3. Setting up your Profile Picture and Cover Image

• First log into your steemit account

• Go to settings

• Provide links to the images you want to use

• Press update

You can grab/copy the link of the photo you used in your introduction post to setup your profile picture

How to upload photos during posting

During posting you can use one of these to uploade photos

• Insert the link at the section of the blog when posting

• Use the famous ctrl+C and Ctrl+V on the required image

• Use the "Select image" link at the bottom of the body segment of your post to upload from your local drive
