Top 5 Christmas Crafts your little ones can keep themselves busy with

Christmas is such a great time to get creative and personal, especially if you have little ones. After a little bit of research and creative thinking, I found that there are so many cute and easy ways to make crafts and keep your tots busy for the festive season, and most of them can be made out of household items.

Here are five ideas that can make your Christmas tree or home so much more personal and creative:

1. Handprint Ornaments

You will need plain ball ornaments (choose a colour of your choice), paint and your little ones hands. These are perfect gifts for grandparents or just something personal to add to the Christmas tree.

2. Christmas themed toilet roll characters

Save those empty TP rolls and create cute characters such as Santa, snowmen or even reindeers. You will need empty toilet paper rolls, paint and some imagination. You can even use googly eyes and pipe cleaners to jazz it up.

3. Pine cone Christmas trees

These are perfect to use as handmade decorations for your Christmas dinner party to show off your little ones talents. You will need a pine cone, paint and any decorations that you need to make your tree as you would like it.

4. Handmade Christmas Cards

These are so easy to make and you can use any extra 'thingamabobs' lying around such as ribbon, buttons, wool, toothpicks, straws or even pasta to create your handmade card for grandma or dad to say Happy Holidays. Be creative. You can even draw pictures of your family or pets.

5. Christmas Key chains

Have any old keys lying around with no use? Here is a great idea to turn them into something special and unique. Let your little one make key chains for family and friends that are Christmas themed.
