Keep your little ones safe in the house
As a parent your main mission is to see your child happy and save, but it does sometimes happen that children get hurt in and around the house.
Mostly houses are designed for adults and there are always areas where the little ones can hurt themselves, especially when they are still small and start to explore and also to understand the dangers around them.
There are many things that you can do to keep your kids safe at home. You can read more here on how to make your house safe.
Have a look at the checklist below to make sure your house is a safe environment for your toddler.
It is a good idea to do a first aid course to be able to help in general emergencies like cuts, bleeding and choking. Also make sure you have all the emergency numbers easily available for anybody to see.
Also have a first aid kid nearby stocked with the general meds you will need.
Make sure that lighters, matches and candles are stored away safely - this is something that can fascinate little hands. Install some smoke detectors in your house and if your child is old enough to understand, talk to them about the dangers of a fire and what they must do if there is ever a fire in the house.
Children like to imitate their parents and if they see you drinking pills they will think that they can also do it if they find any pills - make sure that your pills and any poisonous substances are locked away. Teach your child from a very young age that no pills or medicine may be taken unless one of the parents give it to them, Children are much more clever than we give them credit for and if you repeat it to them every time they see you drink medicine they will understand and keep to the rule.
If you have a toddler that is out on a discovering expedition, it is a good idea to cover all electrical outlets with childproof covers. Again do not think that your child will not understand if you talk to them about the dangers of electricity. You do not have to use big words or explanations, the most important part is that the message is carried over that electricity is dangerous.
Doors can be easily slammed and little finger caught in it - buy a few door stoppers and do not let your child run around in the house or play close to windows.
There are so many things that can go wrong with toddlers in your house, but luckily they all have little angels protecting them from harm. So even if you need to keep your children save, do not be so paranoid that they may not do anything.
As much as we want, we cannot wrap them in bubble wrap, we can just make sure that they are also vigilant and have information to keep them save - no matter how young they are.

Regarding the first picture, my sister got a little burn on her hand because i left the pressing iron unplugged. I was really unhappy with myself. I suppose these tips also cuts across everyone other than parents so long you can understand them. Thanks for sharing, cheers.
