Qualities of a Teacher

Part 1 : PERSONAL QUALITIES

1. Pleasing appearance.
   Teaching requires the teachers to be neat– it means the teacher’s get up when in school is based on the acceptable dress code the institution requires.

2. Good grooming
   Teaching requires the teacher to be well-groomed - it means the teacher’s proper grooming to look presentable in the class.
   

3. Voice.
   Teaching requires the teacher with exquisite taste of language – it means the teacher has well-modulated voice, good diction and pronunciation.

4. Intelligence.
   Teaching requires the teacher to be more intelligent - it means the teacher is endowed gift of intelligence of the subject.
   

5. Emotional Intelligence.
   Teaching requires the teacher to be emotionally stable – it means in times of irritable situations he/she can still manage emotion.

6. Sympathy.
   Teaching requires the teacher to be sympathetic- it means being understanding.

7. Kind.
   Teaching requires the teacher to be more kind – it means to be more generous.

8. Helpful.
   Teaching requires the teacher to be more helpful – it means to be more supportive.
   

9. Patience.
   Teaching requires the teacher to be more patience – it means to be more enduring to student’s demeanor which is sometimes unpleasant and more challenging.

10. Integrity.
    Teaching requires the teacher with paragon of virtues - it means the teacher possess remarkable dedication in teaching profession. When the teacher can be trusted the teacher manifests the integrity.

11. Trustworthiness.
    Teaching requires the teacher to be more true – it means the teacher must be true at all times so that the teacher can be trusted by students’ trust.

12. Flexibility
    Teaching requires the teacher to be more flexible - it means the teacher should have the ability of different levels of understanding of the students’ need in the process of learning.

13. Sociability
    Teaching requires the teacher to be more sociable - it means the teacher is basically a social individual. The ability to relate to the stakeholders and establish good rapport.
    

14. Friendliness
    Teaching requires the teacher to be more friendly - it means learning takes place in a democratic classroom under the guidance of a friendly teacher.
    

15. Fairness
    Teaching requires the teacher to be more fair - it means the teacher never takes side of any student in the classroom to maintain a healthy classroom atmosphere.

16. Funny
    Teaching requires the teacher to inject humor – it means classroom should not be that boring. Teacher should crack sometimes healthy jokes to break the monotony.
    

17. Enthusiasm
    Teaching requires the teacher to be more energetic - it means all the time can animate the students as they are engaged in the learning process.
