In the perspective of education, the media is a very strategic instrument for determining the success of teaching and learning process conducted in the classroom. The existence of the media directly can provide its own dynamics to learners.

In general, learning media can be interpreted as a learning process tool. Everything that can be used to stimulate the thoughts, feelings, concerns and abilities or skills of learners that drive the learning process. It's shows that the media has a broad and deep understanding.

Anderson classified learning media based on 10 classifications, namely:

1. Audio: Audio Cassette, Radio Broadcast, CD, Telephone
2. Print: Textbooks, modules, brochures, pamphlets, and pictures
3. Audio-Print: Audio cassettes with complete written materials
4. Quiet Visual Projection: Overhead Transparency (OHT), Film frame (slides)

6. Visual motion: Silent Movie

According to Briggs, instructional media is the physical means for which teachers use to deliver learning materials such as books, films, videos and so on. Meanwhile, according to National Education Associaton revealed that the learning media is a means of communication in the form of print and hearing-sight, including hardware technology. [Source]

Based on the understanding and classification of instructional media that all things used by educators to convey the message of education, and stimulate the mind, feelings, and willingness of learners so that learners are motivated and actively involved in the learning process, can be said "Learning Media".
Media plays an important role in achieving educational goals as expected. Basically, the success of the learning process is not on the sophistication of the media used in the learning process, but on the success of teachers in utilizing the media, meaning that if teachers do not master how to use the media appropriately will result in the lack of learning process done, technology-based learning media and E-Learning.

Teachers must understand and master how to use the media so that all students stimulate the mind, are motivated to learn. The ability of teachers in the use of media is very important. The success of student learning is determined by teacher's ability factor in media usage.
