Education for special children - Restoring self confidence and self-esteem @mariaentela
First of all if I want to talk about special education I must make clear what the educational formation is. Let's say that this formation is just a process to socialize, through which a person acquires all kind of knowledge. However, when a child suffers from some kind physical or intellectual disability, it is widely known that the simple traditional educational system is inadequate to fulfill the needs of this child. This is the most compelling evidence that the system is in need of another concept in education. So it is at this point where the concept of special education finds its roots.

To put it in other words, so that I explain better the concept of special education, I would explicitly say that it transforms the characteristics of the simple educational system to special characteristics. It is important to remember that some children have many disadvantages due to their disabilities, so here it comes the special education to compensate for this these advantages by providing these pupils with resources that are both human and technical. This way the environment where are these children can complete they're learning process will be very advantageous according to their skills.

The first appearance of special education is dated in sixteenth century. Back then deaf children had gained access to school classes. But throughout the years special education has been established as part of the official educational system and it has been geared in different types of skills. Moreover nowadays there are learning methods for smart children which characteristics are somewhat at the higher-level level then other pupils of the same age.

It is important to realize that children with disabilities have the right in education. For them to be able to face their adult life they must develop themselves through any evolution. To point that out, the purpose of special education is to supply those children with appropriate tools that helps them in the process of learning and developing themselves. As a special education teacher I am of the opinion that the goal of my job is to help those children become as independent as possible and to achieve that the key point is to start by restoring their self confidence and self-esteem as well.

Well said! For anyone to make a progress it has to be explained in a way that is understandable to the person listening. I understand parents that they need some time when they notice that their child is different than the other children his age to move on. But I really don't understand why some push through the wall and make life miserable for them and their children. Those usually think what will they neighbour say. It is sad. Life is so much more than that and no one knows what can happen to every one of us the next day. Very inspiring post. Thank you for sharing!🙏
