How Do You Make Your Posts/Blog and How Long Does It Take?
How do you start making your posts or blogs? Do you go directly to the laptop or computer and type in right away on the site or make a draft on "words"? Or do you write it first on paper?
Some people write their posts on paper. I don't because it delays me hehe.
Type directly on the laptop and on the site.
I on the other hand sometimes make a draft on "word". There I can make use of thecword count, spelling and grammar check. Then when ready I copy paste to steemit and insert picutres. Even if I have chevkrd and double check, it still takes me a while to make a post.
I like to make sure everything is correct. But sometimes I write directly on #steemit, @busy.org or on @esteemapp. When that happens I try to make sure all the pictures I will use are available and ready.
But sometimes it takes a while because when I write on a spur of the moment, I have to research a bit, look for pictures etc, etc, etc. Sometimes it takes half a day because there are also a lot of distraction. I take my time and don't rush, I also take a break before posting so I coild check it again.
I used to join all challenges and contests and I could make 5 or more posts. But since it is 2018, a new year and a new beginning I decided to lessen challenges and contest to 1 or 2 a day or only if I get a writer's block.
So that is when the challenges and contests come in handy. Even though they are challenges and contest where only pictures are required, I try to add a paragraoh or two.
So sometimes 1-2 post a day with good quality content is better, and maybe add a challenge. Better than having 4 and up posts but of poor quality.
So how do you make your post and how long does it take you.? I'm just curious on how do others do it.
PICTURES ARE MINE
My ideas come on weird timings - when I am about to sleep or when I am driving.
I used to make a lot of my posts on my phone but nowadays I find it easier to compose on the laptop, directly on steemit. On average I take 1.5- 2hours to complete a post from scratch.
I also get ideas in weird times but when I get ready to make it, it comes out differently hehehe
True. Hehe.
Oh wow, when I first started it took me upwards of 10-12 hours to do a post. Nowadays it can be much less. Of course, those posts I wrote weren't posts - they were articles of the highest quality!
Stuff like this https://steemit.com/history/@getonthetrain/secret-societies-8-the-order-of-the-assassins
Fully researched and attributed. It certainly has paid off in the long run - go Steem!
yes most of my quality post takes me the minimum of 5-8 hrs. Research choosing the right picture and checking spelling and grammar. thanks for your link will check it out!
As for myself, I write it first in the paper. Thank you for this!
mam @purpledaisy57 tnx for opening this interesting topic. I am directly writing on my computer. My first step is choosing an interesting topic that is suitable for my knowledge, then make a list of all possible and relevant keywords, then make a sentence from it.
but also make sure you check your grammar and spelling I am willing to help you on that
noted mam, thank you so much
So far, everything I have posted on my Steemit blog has just been what I can bang out on my work PC in twenty minutes at the end of my lunchbreak.
I think it shows, to be honest!
So, last night, I invested almost two hours in building up an article based upon some traveling I did a while ago.
I spent one hour selecting and uploading around fifty photographs, and laying them in correct sequence, and another hour fleshing between the sequential shots with text.
It's about half done. If I have energy, I will try and complete it tonight.
I know the best way is to brainstorm ideas, make a rough draft, a first draft, a second draft and a final draft; but my attention span isnt't that grea. . .
wow so many pictures hahah. yup great posts don't take minutes they take hours

i go directly to my smartphone and i don't have time re read my content. it's difficult but i got used to it.
I used to look for a photo first before composing my blog. Then after if I really need to add more photos thats time I will look for another one. I am using busy.org. But before I go directly to steemit to type my blog.
I don't write on paper as well.
Making an outline and spontaneous writing then the editing & finalization occurs. Duration depends on the momentum of my mood.
