Wishing I Had Asked You More

I wasn't aware we are too far apart when are bonded together,
I haven't heard you say anything less or more except it's important,
our lives has no echoing motion, but only in a stationary bliss,
contented, and yet too far away we can't hear each other.

At times on the table is the arena of solitude,
we share our cold cut foods, but untouched,
our eyes are too tired to say goodbyes to each other,
we left the house like an ancient memories we shared,
antiquated walk, unstressed but outmoded,
the spaces between us is as spanless as universe,
maybe I haven't seen that expanse to where it is heading,
I'm stuck here in my blank space, lost.

Oblivion, I could grasp when I gasp for lapse I had left,
hearing the dull muted whispers, my ears elated a quarter of second,
somehow it was a joyous, vain, imaginary illusion of pain,
leaving a deep cut in the wounds that never heals,
only passing a carving of scarce in my own weakness.

We talk with an empty dreams, I asked how was it,
you shake your head like I wasn't there,
I asked again with different tone, how was it,
you lift your head looking down the wet road,
you shake your head like I wasn't me,
I infinitely ask you again, how was it,
I didn't stand in your longest way in a short trip to the door,
maybe I did ask you too much.

I rest my head on her headstone on a cold afternoon,
I can't ask you know, but surely you'll shake your ahead again!
