Wow @chernern - what a beautiful first entry for the Steemit Culinary Challenge! These tarts look absolutely delicious... I can easily imagine the firm crunch of the crust and the smooth fruity taste of the filling... YUM!!! You're right - using dates in the crust works very well (I sometimes make crusts this way) as they do indeed make it lovely and chewy, and help it bind together.
