It is a 5000+ community of like-minded people exploring the wonderful Steemit world. If you haven't yet, I would recommend you to connect to Discord. It is a great place to network and get support. The networking aspect is the biggest benefit.
It can be a bit intimidating as the group is so large, but try to start in a subchannel that meets your interest and go from there.
