Knowledge is Power (2) - About Philosophy and its branches
Philosophy is an abstract science that deals with everything about human beings.
It is important to have a good understanding of philosophy fields, as each field deals with basic concepts and principles that study man's nature and the world around him. The main concern in every field is to provide knowledge and to determine the origin, nature and source of natural phenomena in finding the truth.

Major fields of philosophy are:
- epistemology - theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope.
- metaphysics - the branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time, and space.
- axiology - the study of values and how those values come about in a society.
- cosmology - a branch of philosophy that studies the origin of the Universe, especially space, time, freedom, causality. Did the world come into existence by chance or by divine command?
- ontology - a branch of metaphysics that studies the nature of existence of things. It is also called the theory of being. What does "to exist" mean?
- psycology - the science of mind, metal state and processes. To Greeks, psychology is the science of the soul. What is the soul? What is the spiritual part of man that is distinct from the physical body? Is there a relationship between body and soul?
- theodicy - this concept deals with the nature and goodness of God.
- logic - a branch of philosophy that deals with the nature of thinking and reasoning using objective, valid and reliable data. What is correct reasoning? What distinguishes a good argument from a bad one?

... Now we know what are the Philosophy branches. Will shed some more light on this interesting subject, as I go deeper in my studies. You're more than welcome to take the ride with me!
