That certainly is a good way to practice, and you can gauge the audience as to how you are doing. How long have you been playing the saxophone?

I began with the tenor sax back in the early 80s but found it too heavy to hold after a few hours so moved on to the alto sax which was great for a decade, but these days I play the soprano because it's light and small and easy to take on flights
