An Envy and Jealous Mind.
This story is to let us know that when the mind is filled with envy and jelousy, it causes bias judgement and leads to destruction.
Once upon a time, there was a family called Obas. They were four men. There names were:
First son is Obi.
Second son is Timothy
Third son Evarest
Fourth son Clement
They lived in peace as a family. Obi, Evarest and Clement lived in the city while Timothy lived in the village with their mother.
Timothy the second son married before the first son, and he gave birth to 3 boys and 4 girls. The first son married 5years after and have 2 boys and 4 girls. Evarest married 3years after the first son and have only 1 boy and 3 girls. The last man Clement find it difficult to find a wife, but by the help of Timothy he was able to get a wife and got marryied after many years, and had no child.
Evarest mind began to fill with Jealous and envy as Timothy had 3 sons. He was financially okay in the city. Timothy was in the village doing farming, managing the family crops and taking care of their aged mother with the help of his wife. Any time Timothy mentioned that he has no money, Evarest would tell him but you paid your son's school fees or mention one thing Timothy did to his son; If you did not have money, you would not have paid your son's school fees. The statement made Timothy to feel sobber because Evarest made the statement to mock him of having many kids but no money to train them.
One day, Evarest only son became sick, he was taking to church instead of hospital. The boy died later. Evarest and his family accused Timothy and his family of killing his son as they have seen that the boy was going to be a great boy. Meanwhile the boy was not doing much. He was just an apprentice then.
The accusation brought problem in the whole family. No more peace and unity among them. Timothy was totally bitter as he loved his brothers and have sacrificed many of his time looking after them.
There was a time Evarest was sick in the city, Timothy went there and took care of him, as he observed that the health was not improving, he brought him home and took him to another hospital. He stayed with him for almost one month in the hospital until he recovered. Evarest forgot all these care and tagged Timothy a killer.
Evarest went ahead to make a caricature to Timothy as he has three sons and nothing has shown for it. The boys were not doing well then, he said that was even the reason Timothy killed his son.
Timothy died out of depression because he never believed that his brother Evarest could do such to him. He was given a befiting burial by his children to the surprise of Evarest and family as they did not believe that Timothy's children could bury their father without borrowing or begging for help.
Few years later, the three sons of Timothy began to do well, they build houses, got married both the girls and have kids.
The family of Evarest began to live a life of regret and they don't know what to do. No much financial income. Evarest became seriously sick and wife hide it from Timothy's children due to what had been said and did by her and the family. Evarest was longing to have the children of his elder brother around him but the wife and kids did not avail him that privilege. Whenever friends saw Timothy'a son. They would tell him to go and visit his uncle that his health was detorating and he was longing to seen them. If he tried and went to see Evarest, the wife would not allow him to see his uncle or have any discussion with him. Until Evarest died like person who has no relation, which was the part of the last statement he made that he was dying like a person who has no relation. He was buried casually beause the children of Timothy tried to play from afar since the wife and children did not love them any longer. They made a little contribution to them.
Life is not supposed to be proud-of as no body knows tomorrow. Before making any judgement or acussation, try and verify for the truth to avoid destroying some ones life with false judgement, and there is a consequences on anything done whether good or bad.
Be contempted of what you have. Keep your mind out from envy and jealousy.
