Hi fellow Steemians, today I’m entering some more of my artwork that I have done over the past for myself, and have kept them to enjoy. I am a rock collector, of smooth rocks preferably, I find them and paint them into animals. When finding a rock to paint, I’m very careful to choose just the right shape. To me it’s like treasure hunting. I enjoy the visualizing more than anything. I can look at a rock and see the animals unfold. It’s so much fun. When I find that perfect rock, I first wash it, sometimes with a wire brush, let it dry thoroughly, paint it solid black, chalk and outline of the image of the animal, and start painting from dark to light. I usually will end up painting the in tire rock with indoor/outdoor acrylic paint. I use several type brushes, from flat, to round, to detail. With the indoor/outdoor paint, you can have these critters outside. And I enjoy putting them around my flower gardens. So here’s a few that I’ve painted to put in my living room. I created an area to put a small fountain in. I found a large flat rock that is about a foot and a half wide, all the way around, to paint a koi fish pond. I placed natural rock around it, to give it a realistic look. I painted lily pads, and painted a rock frog to place upon it. Also a turtle rock is peering into the pond, and a gecko 🦎 I painted sunning himself nearby. Here’s some close up pictures of these animals. I’ve sold hundreds of these little critters, and have called them “Deb’s Critter Creations.” Thank you so much @deemarshall for creating an art gallery to give us more exposure on our artwork. I greatly appreciate it. And thanks all for your support. Blessings ❣️

An unusual and fun idea!

Hi @kathleenscardoro, oh my... I often look at people’s blogs if I don’t recognize their names, I am definitely following you now, I am astounded by your magnificent oil paintings Wow! Your an amazing artist. I’d love to see you post some of your work on Steemit Art Center. Love your vibrant style, and your a sculpture as well, fascinating. Would you be willing to do an interview with the creator and host of this particular gallery. You’d be an amazing artist to know about? I seen you are fairly new to Steemit like myself, I joined in late December. It could be a great boost in growth for you and your artwork I’m sure. @deemarshall is the hostess and creator of this gallery, and she’s a wonderful person to know. Also she hosts two art contests, that are quite fun. She just started the art gallery only a few weeks ago, and is looking for artists to interview, and to show their work. I was interviewed by her and it’s posted on Steemit today. Good luck here on Steemit, hope to see more of your work friend!

Thank you @lildebbiecakes, I am so glad you like my work. I am following you as well. Or course I would be happy to be interviewed. I am really enjoying this art community on Steemit.

Oh wonderful @kathleenscarboro, I’ll notify Dee, she will be thrilled! Thank you so much for your comments, and your kindness!

Dear @kathleenscarboro, @deemarshall said that all the information about how to contact her for an interviewed is posted on the “Steemit Art Centre” Gallery. She said that she would be waiting to here from you. Blessing, and thank you.
