Poem 03: "THROUGH TOUGH TIMES"
Relationships are mysterious. We doubt the positive qualities in others, seldom the negative. You will say to your partner: do you really love me? Are you sure you love me? You will ask this a dozen times and drive the person nuts. But you never ask: are you really mad at me? Are you sure you’re angry? When someone is angry, you don’t doubt it for a moment. Yet the reverse should be true. We should doubt the negative in life, and have faith in the positive. ~ Christopher Pike

And it was you who texted me,
And feels something unusual in me
A single text that brought to a long conversation
And that conversation brings us to love that last a lifetime
8 years wasn’t that easy for us
It was a long rocky road and a high waves
But love keeps us resilient together
Just holding our hands and everything gets well
Because we believe love is more powerful than pain
We have so many issues argued,
Fight together, whether it makes sense or not,
Fate tested us, countless judgments toss
Swing mood strikes and trust issues crop up
But through tough times, love will always remain,
We sometimes lose the power and sense to communicate,
Things are even sometimes complicated and confusing,
But the pain, the joy, sweetness, and cuddle
Will always endure making this relationship last,
Through tough times, you will never be alone.
