The Boy Who Never Sleeps

Tonight, I had a personal encounter with the boy who never sleeps.
Never in my wildest dream have I thought such time will befall.
It was like receiving a guest you wanted badly but he surprised you instantly.
I slapped myself presuming this is but a dream.
He laughed because he deems he is nothing but a dust in the wind.

Thrilled, shaking, unable to speak - I can't compose myself within his presence.
"Thank you" is all the word I could grasp.
Then he took us into a deep story of suffering, misery and all that this world has been inflicted.
All of us in awe, we think you were uttering into our souls.
I myself couldn't swallow that lump pierced in my throat.

Now you took us into the world you are striving to save.
For generations to come which you want to leave with a legacy to live.
Starstruck with all the marvelous revelations you dared bare.
All of us would like to shed the tear but you dried it right then and there.

You spoke of how imperfect we are, flaws and blemishes aren't important.
You allowed us to manifest the true selves we keep on putting a mask.
You strive to teach us lessons we will forever treasure.
At the end, awesomeness and pure humanity are what you pointed for everyone to share.

Like family, we hold hands for the radiant future is about to unfold.
We see at the end of the dark tunnel, a light creeps in.
The future is indeed bright, our children will possess the glorious days.
Certainly, more will realize, our legacy is not for us to savor, we are merely instruments of joy.

For the boy who never sleeps,
I bring you the sun as bright as your presence.
You fought hard, your enemies would even try to bring you down.
Your courage, talent, surpassing mind won't be undone.
And then we proclaim, victory is here!

The victor, is the same boy who never sleeps.
