BeerBot under attack from high rep account
So yesterday I noticed on 100% downvote from a rep 71 account on a comment. Today I had a message waiting for me on steemit chat that my bot had received more downvotes. Sure enough checking steemd there they were:
3 100% downvotes from @crypt0 on comments made to inform people of the dangers of shortlinks during an ongoing phishing attack using short links. These are not flags to hide comments these are 100% flags. Flags like that on comments with no payout have one purpose: Destroy an accounts rep. So why would someone with a high rep want to destroy an account who's purpose is to protect the community by informing them of potential dangers of short links during a phishing attack using short links?
Attacking my bot actually supports the phishing attacker. Do we really want a high rep account supporting a scammer? Those people voting this guy for $75 a post (and his post are nothing but copy/paste youtube vids from his youtube channel) should re-evaluate your voting choices. Vote for people that work to support and help the community not those who are attacking it.
@adept @nanzo-scoop @kyriacos @bobbylee @ausbitbank @ellemarieisme @thejohalfiles @jonny-clearwater @nasgu I see you voting on almost all his posts. You may want to reconsider who you vote for after these actions.
Just for the record... I've literally only voted for the guy twice ever.
Really? I checked voters on the last few posts of his and saw you more than once. Guess I just picked the right 2 posts :D
Yeah.
I went back and checked myself.
Two votes...ever.
Recent posts.
Odds are it was front-runner that voted.
I'm very consistent with my self voting.
I think talking to @crypt0 would most probably solve the issue. I've tried to get to talk to him more than once for other reasons but was never successful.
