Dyslexia is a learning disorder in children, such as the difficulty of writing and reading. Some children also have difficulty to spell words even difficulty speaking. This disorder should certainly get the right handling.

  1. Dyslexia only type of disorder

Many people believe that dyslexia is just a kind of ordinary reading disorder. In fact, to determine someone dyslexic or not have to pass a special test.

  1. Dyslexia is a low IQ sign

Anyone with any IQ can experience dyslexia. A growing myth, dyslexia occurs only in people with low IQ alone, whereas this disorder can occur in all backgrounds and levels of intelligence.

  1. Reverse reading a word or letter is definitely dyslexic

Not all children who flip through letters, sentences, or words are definitely dyslexic. Some children with dyslexia do experience the problem, but many are not problematic.

When children learn to recognize letters, they will find similar forms of letters (eg, b and d) so that not all children who misunderstand letters can be ascertained as dyslexia.

  1. Only occurs in boys

Dr Sally Shaywitz and colleagues at Yale University, who first conducted childhood dyslexia research in the Journal of the American Medical Association, indicated that dyslexia can occur in girls and boys.

Although boys are diagnosed more often than girls, boys tend to show problems or shortcomings by sitting still while studying in class.
