Why sometimes good posts get unnoticed?

I am quite new on Steemit, but one question runs in my head - Why interesting posts get unnoticed? And if I look on previous posts, they get noticed and paid!

SOURCE

As example can serve @ct-gurus with their articles about science.

When they started, they post some articles and gain followers, much more than likes on these articles. Then they came with their third part of their series about CT, which get noticed, quite well paid - BUT no new followers (data from steemwhales.com).

As oposite i can take their todays post with their introduction, in fact I found this article really interesting as well.

So how it goes here on steemit?

Money is all that matters here

Well, maybe, but wasn't this created to produce and keep quality and interesting articles?

In theory, but whales hold the most of the steem power and it continues to grow even more because people will vote to their posts for the curation reward and then you have the snowball. Synereo maybe can resolve this for not calculating the payout of the owner of the post by how much steem power voted on the post, and by how much organic and real views

I am really noob, but what is Synereo?

Basically is the evolution of steemit, resolving the problems the steemit ecossytem have and with a better design.
Take a look at their website: https://www.synereo.com/

Good posts get missed all the time here. Steemit clearly has some growing pains. It has some problems that will have to be corrected in time.
