"Crowdfunding" and Steemit [💰↻70%]
Big opportunities have recently been announced about a new product development and financing campaign via platforms like GoFundMe, Indiegogo, or the like.
Though relatively late as a concept, this kind of "gruporcrowdfunding" financing has been part of funding strategies nowadays through other similar forms. As a definition, crowdfunding can be said to be a kind of financing a project or venture by donating certain sums of money from a large number of people via the Internet as the most widely used channel.
The first project of a successful online crowdfunding project took place in 1997, when the British rock band Marillion group collected money through online fans' donations for a tour of America. "Marillion" continued to use crowdfunding for studio album productions. Given the success of this group, others, including movie makers and artists, began to use the concept to help finance their passions and projects.
Because most sites where mass finance is intended do not set specific rules for the project and products that you can present to the community, you can find different types of projects. But there are some platforms that are intended to have specific projects that you can contribute to, such as in the case of Kiva for example. This platform allows people to lend to those in need, namely in war zones, places of political-economic instability and those with extreme poverty. Like Kiva, GoFundMe focuses on specific projects for occasions such as funerals, homes destroyed by fire, educational trips that otherwise could not be afforded financially by the claimants themselves.
Today, many companies are using the mass-marketing concept to help them test new products before releasing them into the market, seeing the mass interest for certain products. Along the development of this concept there were only a few platforms - even by 2012 there were fewer than 500, but only two years later, this number has reached more than 1,000 such platforms, offering a diverse choice of options .
Moreover, this added number and an improvement in the crowdfunding system is making this concept more attractive for startups. Moreover, the development of crypto valves has facilitated the transfer of subsidiary funds from different communities to the ideas presented on crowdfunding platforms. This type of structuring is entirely based on blockchain technology. For more long-term support, such funding is being implemented indirectly by Netflix. While traditional crowdfunding is usually a short-term agreement (meaning that entrepreneurs tend to target a large sum to fund a single project only once), the application from Netflix has the potential to support artists, musicians, film makers and other creators who seek to apply crowdfunding to support a series of investments over a longer period of time.
