ONE car, TWO movers and THREE girls

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Hello, guys. I'd like to tell you a story about my night trips with my friends in the old car made in Russia

Okay, let's start. Exhibit number one, the CAR

It was made in 1996, I was born in 1995! 20 years it has been invading poor Russian roads!

The most interesting part. It is NOT the complete list of all the defects and flaws

  • driver's door can not be closed completely, it just does not have a lock
  • the car has two mufflers, one on the bottom of the car and the other on the roof (what for?!)
  • windshield wipers work when they want to work. You can't just turn them on, nope. Enjoy your fortune
  • actually, the major problem is that it does not have a starter. That's why we needed movers (huh, it's us)
  • the previous one is not the biggest problem. It can't go idle, that's why we just push it forward, wait for the engine to work and then jump into the moving car! Awesome!
  • without shock absorbers it turns up to be a wonderful ghetto car, rock it, baby!

Exhibit number two, the DRIVER

It's my best friend and this photo was taken a few days ago, when, around midnight we were searching for a battery charger. He had holes in his sneakers and decided that having them off would have been the best solution. And then he just walked the puddles barefooted.

This is an awesome photo of us together

He bought the car for 10000 roubles (around 150 bucks) in another town and drove back 187 kilometres! It's VAZ 2106, unbelievable!

Exhibit number three and four, the MOVERS

Two bearded friends. Syoma is on the right, me on the left. Without us, driving the car wouldn't be possible. We pushed it to the gas station, then a little bit more to start the engine. The most thrilling part. Every semaphore was a little adventure for us, because, as you remember, if we stop the car, we actually STOP IT. So, we get out of the car, push it forward and again jump into. Right on the middle of the street with other cars. Ye, I'm sure it's pretty dangerous.

The reason of us hired as movers:

So, after all trials we were happy to find that we finally could go, so, we went off the city, spent some time struggling with the road and then, suddenly, Syoma offered DRIFTING. It was a bad idea from the beginning. Actually, a very bad idea. The worst idea of that night. We happened to fail one wheel. In the outskirts, without cell phones. Great. We managed to fix it using another wheel and using a stub as a hoisting jack. Then we had some problems with starting the engine, but finally, we came back home and fell asleep.

It was a long ride and a marvelous night trip! Just imagine, before that, we had spent a week trying to get the battery work and solving the problem with oil! Arrrgh, nevermind, take a look at these photos too. They deserve it.

This is not our car:

Here is just a flower I found accidentally

And, us, once more.

Thank you for reading this to the end! Waiting for your upvotes and your comments. And sorry for the small amount of photos, we didn't think to share something about our trips and we didn't have cell phones! :)
